Advertising policy

IJPR does not carry third-party advertising and does not accept sponsored or paid promotional content of any kind, on its website, within published articles, or in any journal communications (newsletters, email alerts, etc.).

Editorial Independence from Commercial Interests

Acceptance of a manuscript for review or publication is never influenced by commercial relationships, advertising revenue, or sponsor interest. No advertiser, sponsor, or commercial entity has any involvement in, or visibility into, editorial decision-making.

Distinguishing APCs from Advertising

Article Processing Charges (see the Article Processing Charges (APC) Policy) are a publication fee paid by authors after acceptance to cover production costs; they are not advertising and do not influence peer review outcomes, consistent with the editorial independence commitment described in that policy.

Future Changes

Should the journal ever consider introducing advertising in the future, this policy will be updated in advance of any such change, with:

  • Clear, unambiguous labeling of any advertising content as distinct from editorial content
  • A firewall maintained between advertising sales staff and editorial staff, such that editorial staff have no visibility into advertiser identity or revenue
  • No advertising placed within, or adjacent to, individual article content in a way that could imply endorsement
