Repository Policy

The International Journal of Psychosocial Rehabilitation encourages authors to deposit their published articles in institutional or subject-specific repositories to maximize visibility and accessibility. This policy aligns with our commitment to open access and supports the dissemination of research findings.

Key Elements of Our Repository Policy:

  1. Self-Archiving:

    • Authors are permitted to self-archive the final accepted version of their manuscripts in institutional repositories and personal websites immediately upon acceptance for publication.
  2. Preprints:

    • Authors may also deposit preprints (versions prior to peer review) in repositories before submitting to the journal. We encourage the use of recognized preprint servers relevant to the field.
  3. Post-Publication Archiving:

    • Once an article is published, authors may deposit the published version (final published PDF) in repositories, provided that the work is attributed appropriately to the International Journal of Psychosocial Rehabilitation and the CC BY 4.0 license is clearly indicated.
  4. Linking to Published Version:

    • Authors are encouraged to include a link to the published article on the journal’s website when archiving their work, facilitating direct access for readers.
  5. No Embargo Period:

    • There is no embargo period for self-archiving published articles. Authors can share their work immediately to enhance its visibility and reach.
  6. Ethical Compliance:

    • All self-archiving must comply with the ethical standards of the journal and the repository’s policies. Authors should ensure that their deposits do not violate copyright or licensing agreements.
  7. Promotion of Research:

    • By supporting repository deposits, the journal aims to promote open access to research and facilitate collaboration within the academic community.
  8. Repository Recommendations:

    • While authors are free to choose their repositories, we recommend using reputable institutional or disciplinary repositories that enhance the visibility of research in psychosocial rehabilitation.
