Author Guidelines

Welcome to the International Journal of Psychosocial Rehabilitation (IJPR). We are delighted that you are considering submitting your work to our journal. To ensure a smooth submission process and high-quality publication, please review the following guidelines carefully.

1. Manuscript Submission

  • Online Submission: All manuscripts must be submitted online through our OJS platform. You will need to create an account or log in if you already have one. Once logged in, follow the step-by-step instructions to submit your manuscript.

  • File Format: Manuscripts should be submitted in Microsoft Word (.doc or .docx) format. Ensure that all figures, tables, and supplementary files are included and properly labeled.

  • Submission Checklist: Before submitting, please ensure that:

    • The manuscript adheres to the journal’s scope and guidelines.
    • The manuscript is original, has not been published previously, and is not under consideration elsewhere.
    • The authorship information is accurate and complete.
    • Ethical guidelines have been followed, and appropriate permissions have been obtained.

2. Manuscript Preparation

  • Language: Manuscripts must be written in clear and concise English. Non-native English speakers are encouraged to have their manuscripts professionally edited.

  • Title Page: Include the following on the title page:

    • Title of the manuscript
    • Full names, affiliations, and email addresses of all authors
    • Corresponding author’s contact information
    • Acknowledgment of any funding sources
  • Abstract: Provide a concise abstract of no more than 250 words. The abstract should summarize the research objectives, methodology, key findings, and conclusions. Avoid using references in the abstract.

  • Keywords: Include 4-6 keywords that accurately reflect the content of the manuscript.

  • Main Text: Structure the manuscript into the following sections:

    • Introduction: Provide background information and state the research question or hypothesis.
    • Methods: Describe the research design, participants, materials, and procedures in detail.
    • Results: Present the findings using appropriate figures and tables. Do not interpret the results in this section.
    • Discussion: Interpret the results, discuss their implications, and relate them to existing research.
    • Conclusion: Summarize the main findings and suggest future research directions.
  • References: Follow APA 7th edition guidelines for citations and references. Ensure all references cited in the text are included in the reference list, and vice versa.

  • Figures and Tables: Include figures and tables within the main text where they are first mentioned. Each figure and table should have a descriptive title and caption. Ensure high-quality images and graphs are used.

3. Ethical Considerations

  • Plagiarism: Manuscripts must be original and free of plagiarism. All submissions will be checked using plagiarism detection software. Plagiarized manuscripts will be rejected.

  • Informed Consent: For studies involving human participants, authors must confirm that informed consent was obtained from all participants, and that the study was conducted in accordance with ethical standards.

  • Conflicts of Interest: Authors must disclose any potential conflicts of interest, financial or otherwise, that may influence the research or interpretation of results.

4. Peer Review Process

  • Double-Blind Review: IJPR follows a double-blind peer review process. Authors' identities are concealed from reviewers, and vice versa. Please ensure that the manuscript does not contain any identifying information.

  • Review Timeline: Authors can expect to receive initial feedback within 6-8 weeks of submission. The timeline may vary depending on reviewer availability and the complexity of the manuscript.

  • Revisions: If revisions are requested, authors should submit the revised manuscript within the specified time frame, along with a detailed response to reviewers’ comments.

5. Publication and Open Access

  • Open Access Policy: All articles published in IJPR are open access, meaning they are freely available to the public under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International License (CC BY 4.0).

  • Article Processing Charges (APC): IJPR charges an APC to cover the costs of publication. Details on the APC and any applicable waivers or discounts are available on our website.

6. After Acceptance

  • Proofreading: After acceptance, the manuscript will undergo proofreading. Authors will receive a proof to review and approve before publication.

  • Publication: Once the final proof is approved, the article will be published online in the next available issue. Authors will receive a notification and a link to their published article.
