Abstract

This research is aimed at addressing Grice's theory and its conversational maxims, insofar as it applies the Gricerian model to the conversational interaction of everyday Italian language, to show the validity of this theory to reveal the implicit meaning in communication in a general way. . One of the conclusions we have come to is: The violation of Grice's maxim ends up with the existence of two violations of the same meaning in the communication.
