Abstract:
Service marketing refers to marketing of intangible and perishable services. It is a new phenomenon in the field of marketing and started in 1980’s when a debate was there whether the services are to be marketed separately or not. Services were considered as totally different from the products so a separate discipline of service marketing was initiated. The service marketing mix is an extension of produce marketing mix and it will have additional 3 P’s along with 4P’s of product marketing mix. This paper discusses on the 7P’s that are required for service marketing.
